S.A.V.O.R. The Time

It is that time of year set aside to give thanks; as for me, it is a reminder to ALWAYS be thankful. This year I dug even deeper into my heart. Last week I attended a conference, and the keynote speaker, repeated a quote by Scott O’Neil. She quoted, “Be Where Your Feet Are,” and then asked the audience what we thought that meant and what we thought about the quote. My co-attendees responded and expounded on their thoughts but, I kept my thoughts internal and marinated on that quote for the next five days.

This Thanksgiving, Reward Yourself by Rewarding Others

Diego TrevinoPeople often associate stuffing their faces with Thanksgiving as they do bees with making honey. But just as bees pollinate the planet, people also give back on this particular day. Every Thanksgiving before, I destroy multiple family members’ kitchens and gain a couple of inches on my waist size I wake up early and dedicate my time to 2016 TX Energy Houston Turkey Trot which benefits half a million people in the Houston area. In the past few years of doing this, I’ve noticed that the Thanksgiving spread tastes a lot better. Houston has a lot of opportunities to help others this Thanksgiving.
