When I was seeking employment it took me over a year to find the right job. My brother, on the other hand, found a job in less than a week after losing his job. In fact, he never had a problem finding employment quickly. One day I asked him how he keeps finding jobs so quickly. He told me that he simply has a positive attitude. I didn’t understand what that meant until I realized that whatever I was doing wasn’t working so I had to change something. My resume was effective enough to get me interviews; however, I wasn’t getting the job offers after the interview. I decided that maybe my attitude was the issue. Lessons from a Father’s Child
The job search market is very competitive, especially in today’s market. Once I get a job, I work diligently to make sure that my priority is keeping that job so that I don’t have to tackle the job market again before I am ready.
