Memorial Day offers Americans a time to honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and liberty in this great nation, The United States of America. In the process of honoring the memory of those veterans and their families, we also pay tribute to the veterans who have served and are still living today. With that in mind, I would like to focus attention on certain organizations that reach out to assist members of the military and their family as they transition to civilian life.

Honoring our Service Men and Women
Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday of May. It was formerly known as Decoration Day and commemorates all men and women who have died in military service for the United States. Many people visit cemeteries and memorials on Memorial Day, which is the unofficial start of the summer season. It is traditionally known for its celebration of those we have lost, but during recent years it has also been a time for us to recognize the commitment and sacrifice made by those who have courageously served our country.
