Five years ago, I began my career with Workforce Solutions as a greeter. Entering a new job can be exciting, or it can be terrifying. For me it was both. I was also 100 percent sure that this was going to be the easiest job ever. I was wrong. I immediately experienced being on the frontline, serving Workforce Solutions’ diverse population. What’s a Father Worth?
Recently I stumbled upon a documentary (How to Make a Man) that made me look at my father in a new light. It was an introduction to a mentoring project, which addressed today’s need for male mentors. Featured were famous celebrities, sports figures, entertainers and ordinary men, as well as prisoners who did or did not have father figures in their lives.
