The job search market is very competitive, especially in today’s market. Once I get a job, I work diligently to make sure that my priority is keeping that job so that I don’t have to tackle the job market again before I am ready. When I think about how I am able to maintain my employment, I always turn to the lessons that my father taught me in life before I had obtained my first job. Recently I stumbled upon a documentary (How to Make a Man) that made me look at my father in a new light. It was an introduction to a mentoring project, which addressed today’s need for male mentors. Featured were famous celebrities, sports figures, entertainers and ordinary men, as well as prisoners who did or did not have father figures in their lives.
