National Disability Employment Awareness Month

This October marks the 70th Anniversary of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The purpose of this initiative is to educate the public and employers about disability employment issues and to celebrate the contributions of workers with disabilities. This year’s theme ‘My disability is one part of who I am’ shares the important message that people with disabilities are just people who can bring another perspective to the table.

Moving Forward

Photo 57 (2)Friday July 26, 2013 marked the 23rd anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). That event was held by President George H.W.
