As we celebrate Veteran’s Day November 11, hopefully, we think about how much they sacrificed to give us the freedom and rights that we cherish as American citizens. I think about their great sacrifice because I am the son and grandson of a veteran, nephew of a veteran, and father of a soldier.
I know about the months and years they spend away from their loved ones in conditions that are frightening and can also be mentally challenging. The toll that constant training and war can take on the body. Being a veteran is not an easy road and many times a tough decision. So, when I say thank you for your service, I also mean thank you for your sacrifice because I know that choosing to become a soldier is also deciding to sacrifice, and that sacrifice isn’t easy. So, during this Veterans Day, let us remember all our veterans and the sacrifices they made to give us the comfort we value and take for granted every day. We honor them in many ways at Workforce Solutions and one of the biggest events we participate in is Red, White, and You.
