There is a community-based organization that provides online tutorials that help with or complement job search skills.
Goodwill Community Foundation maintains this really cool online tutorial site.
In addition to work, core skills, reading and math tutorials, this site has an extensive technology section.
If you haven’t worked in a while and you plan on job searching, you will find this site extremely helpful, especially the technology topics. Even if the job you want doesn’t require much work done on computers, you’ll need computer skills to fill out online applications.
You don’t need to create an account. No ads to distract you that you can accidentally click on. AND you can learn in English, Español, and Português.
From the home page, click on “TOPICS”, top right, and check out some of the topics you can start learning right now.
I know! Pretty awesome! Click on “All Topics” to view even more.
If seeing all of these topics motivates, yet overwhelms you, start with clicking on “Topics” at the top of the screen and select “I want to…” and go from there.
Well, I’ll leave you to learning 😊.
